A trip to Florida included the first time sitting a blue grass style music jam.\u00a0 Simply stated, traditional\u00a0<\/span>old time music is mainly an upbeat instrumental dance music with the fiddle being the lead instrument while bluegrass is a vocal style where the instruments freely improvise and is led by the banjo or mandolin.\u00a0 Or at least that is how I understand this works.\u00a0 \u00a0The part that was most interesting and challenging as a beginner was the solos that are called out for a specific player at different points in a song.\u00a0 \u00a0This was my first time with this, and I do hope my solo playing was good enough.\u00a0 \u00a0There is also the need to learn some traditional blue grass tunes to sing as the ones I picked were somewhat elementary and more old time.\u00a0 Looking forward to the next time I try this out.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
