Due to various life changes, my participation at music festivals has been limited. However, travel to West Virgina to the Vandalia Gathering became a reality. Initially there were concerns of being able to play at outdoor jams as the weather was looking very bad with lots of rain in the forecast. However, many people provided assurances that “rain or shine” this event would happen. The weather “gods” were kind on Saturday with a cloudy sky and no rain until very late in the evening after event closing. So, there was the usual gathering of the Stony Point String Band under a tree joined by friends and sharing some great Old Time tunes and friendship. It had been a long time since being able to see everyone who was there.
Enjoy the photos.
