The following documents are “Rythm Notations” that we use to know the chords to play for various songs and tunes. There are in Adobe PDF format and can be downloaded to your smartphone and/or iPad for viewing. Please note the following as you use these:
- Each part A, B, and sometimes a C and D are separated by a line.
- Those in 4/4 time (e.g., reels), the “/” is equal to 2 beats similar to how chords are presented the Strum Machine application.
- Those in 3/4 time (e.g., waltz) the “/” is equal to one beat, again like in Strum Machine.
- The return indicator “||: – :|| indicates a repeat of this part. If not there you play the part 1 time.
- Words to songs are included.
Also note that there is a “-” in front of the title of the song or tune which indicates that there was an attempt to verify the chords are correct. As you go through these, please feel free to let me know of any corrections and additions (jafattaleh@yahoo.com). Updated as of 07/12/2025.
