It has returned!!! After two years of postponements due to the COVID pandemic, the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History was able to hold this celebration of heritage this year. It was so wonderful to be able to see all of the exhibits and (of course) the traditional music. Our contingent of players from the Huntington area were augmented by old and new friends. On both days we found ourselves gathering under a nice shady tree in front of the State History Museum and played on and on for most of the afternoon each day. Most notable was the inclusion of a banjo player my sister Edna is teaching and a wonderful Dulcimer player. It was good to see a lot of attendees with the real busy day being Saturday. Always looking forward to next year.
